“Shell Rimula offers more than just cutting-edge lubricants that deliver proven and tangible results to businesses operating in an increasingly challenging economic environment. We also offer real partnerships that help protect and secure businesses so that they remain competitive, thrive and, ultimately, reach their real destinations,” said Shell Lubricants Executive Director – Southeast Asia, Troy Chapman, at the 2016 Shell Rimula Night attended by more than 350 participants from Malaysia.
Shell Rimula Night is an annual event held to celebrate Shell Rimula’s partnerships with key customers in Malaysia, some of which have transcended generations and are still going strong. In Sabah and Sarawak in particular, Shell Rimula has been the most preferred heavy duty diesel engine oil brand for the past six decades, trusted by business owners across industries for the quality of its products and technical support.
Shell Rimula launched its fully synthetic Shell Rimula R6 LM with Dynamic Protection Plus earlier this year. The first and only heavy duty diesel engine oil in the market made from natural gas, the new flagship product offers up to 53% better protection against engine wear and deposits, especially cam wear and up to 45% lower oil consumption.
The Shell Rimula Technology Conference, held in conjunction with this year’s Shell Rimula Night, is an example of how Shell Lubricants was able to draw on its technology leadership and global resources to help keep its customers ahead of the game.
The participation of Shell Shanghai Technology Centre (SSTC) reflected Shell Rimula’s commitment to bring its technology expertise closer to customers and partners in the region. SSTC, one of Shell’s network of nine technology centres around the world, is dedicated to supporting its esteemed customers in Asia.
At the 2016 Shell Rimula Night, six of the eight lucky Grand Prize winners of this year’s Shell Rimula Global Promotion were officially presented with their prizes.
The six – Chong Kong Jam from Port Klang, Selangor; Liew Sin Leong from Papar; Sabah; Song Mee Shan from Mukah, Sarawak; Siti Rozita Jamalludin from Rawang, Selangor; Tang Ai Kwong from Miri, Sarawak and Tio Tung Khing from Kuching, Sarawak-- each won an all-expense paid 5-day VIP trip to South Africa.
