The group started the tour on Friday morning on the Rest stop in Sungai Buloh where a lot of truckers were waiting for the driving ban to be over before entering the Klang valley. During this time, the team engaged with them to discuss road safety. Some truckers got some practical tips in regards to tyre management after we found that their pneus are in bad shape. Shell technicians stood by to showcase how Shell Rimula can help to improve the efficiency of modern Diesel engines.
Having transferred to Kuantan in the evening, the group resumed activities on the Gambang R & R on Saturday morning. Representatives of the local Shell Distributor joined to support the event. Several customers dropped by to see what is going on and lively discussions took place. Following a full day at the reststop, the road led back to Kuala Lumpur where the group prepared for the last session on Monday.
Although a Public Holiday in the Federal Territory, there were lots of truckers that stopped by on the Dengkil R & R to chat about their daily life on the road and what affects the safety of their vehicles. Some noticed posts on Facebook and made the effort to come to the location to meet with friends and colleagues.
This year's CNY Roadshow is now over, but we are sure that you will the Asian Trucker Drivers Club soon again on the roads of Malaysia.
