Hino Motors Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd. (HMSM) donated a truck to the office of The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) on 1 Sept, 2015, as a way of supporting and building capacity in terms of logistics especially at times of disaster. The mock key presentation was a symbol for the collaboration between HMSM and MRC in humanitarian efforts in Malaysia. The event was graced by the National Chairman of MRC, YM Tunku Tan Sri Dato’ Shahriman bin Tunku Sulaiman and witnessed by the Managing Director of HMSM, Mr. Ken Iwamoto and Dato’ Sayed A Rahman bin Sayed Mohd, Secretary Generel of MRC, Puan Azizah, Executive Secretary of MRC and Mr James Kon, Member, National Disaster Management Committee of MRC.
The HINO 4-wheeler truck, model WU302 for which its body was sponsored by A-Plus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (one of the prominent truck body building companies in Malaysia) is another additional new truck to MRC. Currently, MRC has four trucks ranging up to 10 years of age, thus this donation is seen timely to assist in any contingencies.
MRC is a non-profit organisation dedicated to humanitarian acts and services.
