The objectives of the program are to create safety awareness among the drivers in terms of how to take a good care of the tyres and other maintenance and while on the road. It is also a platform for GiiB to get more information about the requirements of drivers.
Throughout the program, GiiB will conduct surveys among the drivers. Once drivers complete the survey they will receive safety vest, windscreen sticker and reflective stickers for their truck. This time around, the survey question are focusing on the training aspect for the drivers.
“We are happy as PLUS is very cooperative towards our program and we are the only retreading company that focuses on commercial vehicles when it comes to such activities. PLUS has shown their support by approving the location that we have aimed for. We have been at the Sungai Buloh Trucker Centre to conduct the same program earlier this year,” said Wang Suk Man, Branding and Marketing Senior Executive.
“From the survey, we can as well identify certain issue and problems faced by the drivers. To compare the information that we have received from the previous survey, the progress of the drivers is totally different now. The drivers have increased their knowledge on tyres and maintenance due to particular awareness,” she added.
