AMA Motors to provide training facilities, parts operation and maintenance for operating MAN fleet of buses

MAN Truck & Bus, the leading international bus manufacturer announced that it had won an order to deliver 127 buses to the Ministry of Transport in Bahrain to support their plans in developing a superior public transport net-work within the kingdom from 2015.

The buses will be used for city transportation and for airport transfers. The production of 88 Midi buses and 39 city buses with MAN Lion’s City design has already started. The MAN chassis will carry Caetano bodies. MAN has been working together with the body builder for over six decades and the buses stand out with their unique aluminum body to facilitate weight savings and thereby reduce the fuel consumption while ensuring more energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions.
“The MAN Lion’s City buses which will be utilized in Bahrain will use lightweight materials & innovative body construction to ensure high standards in quality,” said Pedro Teixeira, MAN Area Bus Sales Manager Middle East. “Functionality, ergonomics, large interior space, simple maintenance and high safety standards are the key features of the buses which expect to have a lifetime of over 25 years due to the quality of the materials used.”

We will also carry out the mainte-nance of the vehicles as a service partner.
