Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City 2020 Embraces the Rising Made-in-Vietnam Automotive Market
Steering into its fourth edition, Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City (AMHCMC) will rally an automotive community to provide comprehensive coverage of the supply chain. 390 international and domestic exhibitors will gather across 10,200 sqm of the exhibition floor at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) from 5 to 7 March 2020. From OE (original equipment) to the aftermarket, the show will introduce the new automotive manufacturing and automation segment to cover various sectors in the industry. The community will also help drive localisation, industrialisation and modernisation in the local market by promoting made-in-Vietnam brands.
Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia, and Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City sees its huge potential in becoming the next regional manufacturing hub. In the effort to accelerate market growth, the fair will play a leading role in gathering international and domestic cooperation amongst carmakers, dealers, distributors, exporters, importers, manufacturers, OEMs, retailers and more.
The show will offer broader product coverage of the entire supply chain. A total of 10 different product groups for the passenger, commercial vehicle and motorcycle segments will be on display at the fair. These include Accessories & Customising, Parts & Components, Electronics & Connectivity, Diagnostics & Maintenance and Alternative Drive Systems & Fuel, to name a few. In addition, there will be six product groups tailored for the new automotive manufacturing & automation segment like Manufacturing of Automotive Parts and Components, Automation, Automotive Production Equipment and Systems, Automotive Inspection and Quality Control, Automotive Design and R&D, and Automotive Material.
Comprehensive upgrades on existing sector offerings
The 2020 edition will continue to elevate the show offerings in line with market trends and demands. The passenger and commercial vehicle segments remain a fair focus. It will also place more emphasis on Accessories & Customising within the segments to underline the thriving personalisation and auto lifestyle in Vietnam. Also, in response to market trends signalling a shift in demand from traditional gasoline to the new electric motorbikes, the fair will line up overseas suppliers and renowned national brands for electric motorcycle auto parts and components.
