Miri City Bus Sdn Bhd is bringing back the Pujut and Piasau routes starting with four trips per day. A representative of the company said the move was done in order to provide more convenience to those living along the routes and especially to those who do not possess own transportation. The revived routes would cover areas from Krokop to northern Piasau including areas from Piasau Garden to Jalan Jee Foh and to the city centre. The air-conditioned buses would begin the daily service from as early as 7am, followed by another one at 10am, 1pm and the final service would be at 4.30pm.

The company has received numerous requests from residents living near the area to revive the route since it was stopped four years ago due to declining number of passengers. “Those without their own transport suffered the most as they had no other means of travel. Unfortunately, we recorded no passengers on the first day of the route revival. The result was honestly quite disappointing but we are not ready to give up the routes yet. We sincerely hope that the number of passengers will increase with time and the decision of the company to revive the route would be a good one” said the company representative.
