In a move to provide enhanced service for commuters, the Land Public Transport Commission (S.P.A.D.) announced the relocation of east coast bound express bus services from Hentian Bus Putra (HBP) to the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), effective 1 December 2014. The affected destination involves trips to Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan.

The plan to relocate the eastbound bus operation was taken based on a DBKL report issued in August 2014. Findings from the report confirmed that the HBP building unfit and no longer safe because of the damage affecting the structure of the old and infirm terminal. Following this, the move to the more modern terminal, TBS was approved to provide better safety and comfort for commuters as well as effective operations for buses. The report was commissioned following a meeting chaired by the KL Mayor in May which discussed several issues including rampant touting activities and traffic congestion in the PWTC vicinity.

The new integrated, Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), at Bandar Tasik Selatan on the other hand, has sufficient capacity to cater to the East Coast bound buses to operate in an efficient and orderly manner. The terminal which boasts modern amenities also provides better connectivity to the city center via various modes of transportation which includes the LRT, KTM Commuter, KLIA Transit and taxi services. As an integrated transportation hub that is very sophisticated, the terminal also features electronic boards which lists all arrivals and departures, as well as a centralized ticketing system which brings together many of the bus operators; and supports the zero tolerance policy towards touting. In addition, the new terminal is also equipped with 500 CCTV cameras and supervised by auxiliary police to ensure public safety is prioritized. Other useful amenities available in TBS for commuters include lockers for luggage storage, ATM machines, convenience shops and restaurants.

In line with its continuous efforts to enhance the public land and transportation ecosystem in Malaysia, SPAD welcomes cooperation and involvement of the private sector to build modern terminals in their respective states in suitable locations to provide an efficient, reliable and secure public transport network.
